# Attach files

Click **Attach**, drop files anywhere on the chat, or paste them into your message.

You can add up to 10 files to a message, and each can be up to 25 MB. DIA refuses empty files, dragged folders and some file types. There's also a daily upload limit. If you reach it, try again the next day.

## Virus scanning

DIA scans every upload before anyone can open it. The file shows its progress, then **Scanning for viruses...**, and **Send** stays off until your files are clear.

If DIA finds a threat, the file shows as blocked. It isn't uploaded, DIA doesn't read it, and nobody in the workspace can see it.
